They are there

in between the walls

under the floor

Pitter patter in the dark corners of your room

what could they want

It is the ones you think about

right before you sleep

Are they hiding or are you just not looking hard enough

The precautions you’ve taken

The traps you’ve set

Your frozen

You Indulge into your blissful vice

Now panic

Something new is here

Mice
