Vision of my name by Madeline Loyd

My vision has changed,
I can't see it all,
And without that sight,
The world seems so small,
I see you right now,
Stood facing me,
You seem like a stranger,
Increasingly,
You don't even know,
My simple nickname,
But I know your heart,
Your soul and your brain,
I had to resettle,
While you stayed in place,
I was improving,
While you went on dates,
I try to drift off,
To see you again,
I yearn to not tingle,
For us to be friends,
I woke up at dawn,
To see the real you,
But you do not know,
What you've put me through,
Acting as if,
You don't know my name,
It isn't your fault,
So I can't complain,
But when I see that,
The boy with your face,
I forget it's not you,
It's him with his mates,
You both are alike,
But you I like more,
For you know my name,
It's a very low bar,
So with that you see,
My biggest dilemma,
I see your sweet face,
And you think I am Mara,
My vision has changed,
Not just of the world,
But also of you,
From what I unfurled.
