there it is again

the balloon on fire

rising, inevitably,

but of course, not too quickly

torturously forcing me to watch

as proof of another day arises

this balloon must have

come from a carnival

gifted to me by some

imbecile clown trying to be funny

what kind of sick joke is this though

to wake me once again

after i had spent the last of my tickets

and took one final ride

but yet, here we are

again, still, unfortunately

because that stupid balloon on fire

has made its way into the sky again
