this is it

my breath of fresh air

an elephant on my chest

the world caving in

still nothing can take you from me

in times of darkness you are still with me

you walk with me, hand in hand

day and night

on the good days

and bad

even if the sun ceased to rise tomorrow

you would shine in place of it

because you

oh how you light the way

dry my tears, even if you cause them

talk me down, bringing me back to reality

filling the room with your presence, and my heart with your hugs

fill my lungs with air even after i attempt to puncture them

you saved me

in a way that no human could ever do

because who needs to rely on a human

when a pen and paper is far more accessible in times of crisis
